Practical Handgun
Are you ready to get outside and get moving? Standing behind a bench and shooting at stationary targets only gets you so far. If you are looking to increase your shooting abilities, you will love this 4 hour outdoor class.
Practical Handgun provides the opportunity for students to practice shooting fundamentals and learn various skills related to defensive carry under close supervision by a certified instructor in a small group setting. ( student ratio 1:2 or 1:3)

Holster work
Fundamentals: Stationary Drills
Different Shooting Positions
Movement: advancing/retreating
Shooting from Cover
Equipment Required:
Hand gun (.380 and higher, 9mm preferred)
2 magazines
Sturdy Belt that fits your holster
Strong side stiff holster with retention made specifically for the firearm. Outside the waistband *No Blackhawk Serpa Holsters* or any holster that requires you to press a button to release tension
2 Mag Carriers ( 1 min or pockets will do!)
Ear and Eye protection ( electronic hearing protection strongly encouraged)
Brimmed Hat
Ammunition (min 200 rounds)
Rain Gear
Skill Level: Novice to intermediate If you can load, rack, unload, lock your slide back and use safe gun handling, then you are ready! We will teach you how to draw from a holster if you don't already know how. ( if you are not sure of your skill level, please ask)
This is NOT a new shooter class. Must have previous training.
